ER Systems
Corrosion Probe Systems offer continuous, real-time monitoring of corrosion within pipelines, vessels, separators, and other process equipment. Installed via 2-inch Intrusive Access Fittings, these probes enable operators to track corrosion without shutting down operations, optimize corrosion inhibitor dosing, and respond promptly to changes in process conditions.
Electrical Resistance (ER) Probes
(For all mediums, including non-conductive fluids)

ER probes measure changes in the electrical resistance of a thin metal element as it corrodes, providing a direct indication of metal loss for long-term corrosion monitoring.

1. ER Flush Probes

Key Features :

  • Element sits flush with the internal pipe wall—no protrusion.
  • Prevents mechanical damage during pigging.
  • Ideal for piggable lines.
  • Element thickness range: 5 mil to 40 mil.
  • Excellent for bottom-of-line (BOL) corrosion where water tends to settles.

Applications :

  • For Pipeline Pigging Zones
  • For Gas Production Lines
  • For Water Film Corrosion
2. Cylindrical ER Probes

Key Features :

  • Cylindrical sensing element protrudes into the fluid stream.
  • Greater surface area for more representative readings.
  • Ideal for non-piggable lines.
  • Element thickness range: 10 mil to 80 mil.
  • Highly sensitive for multiphase and turbulent flow.

Applications :

  • For Multiphasic Crude Systems
  • For Produced Water & Wet Gas
  • For Elbows, Tees, Manifolds Where Velocities Varies

Technical Features :
  • Pressure rating: 6000 PSI (41.3 MPa).
  • Temperature rating: Up to 260°C (500°F).
  • Materials: Carbon Steel, 304/316 SS, Duplex, Inconel, Monel, and Custom alloys.
  • Welded seal or Ryton® sealed designs.
  • Compatible with Retriever + Service Valve.
  • Available in Flush & Cylindrical formats.
  • Optional velocity shields for high-flow systems.
Advantages :
  • Safe probe retrieval under full system pressure
  • High accuracy even under varying flow regimes
  • Suitable for all corrosive environments, including sour service
